Our handmade copper drinking vessels are crafted from pure copper!

Ayurveda has known the benefits of drinking water from a copper vessel for centuries. Ayurveda states that
storing water in a copper vessel or bottle for 8–10 hours can balance the three Doshas (bio-energies)
that circulate through the human body (the Vata air element, the Pitta fire element, and the Kapha
water element). Additionally, this water can help maintain your body's pH balance.

Copper is a trace element involved in the formation of connective tissue and bones, and also ensures the
proper functioning of the immune system. The recommended daily allowance of copper for adults is
set at 0.9 mg. This means that you can drink about two to three cups of water from a copper vessel or bottle
to experience its benefits. Do not overdo it, as this can actually be harmful to your
well-being.

Maintenance and cleaning of copper drinking vessels

  • Never clean copper drinking vessels in the dishwasher.
  • When the copper color on the outside starts to lose its shine, you can
use a lemon slice and some salt to gently polish the copper drinking vessels. Then rinse and let dry thoroughly before
    further use.
  • Never use an abrasive cleaner to clean the inside. Instead, use half a
lemon and rub it over the inside. Let it sit for a few minutes and then rinse with plain water.
  • You can also use baking soda and water to wash the cup.
  • Do not expose to direct sunlight.

Note: Due to oxidation, copper discolors over time and may develop stains. These are
natural properties of copper. It has no negative effect on drinking from these copper items.

Rinse the copper drinking vessels with water before use. Put water into a copper bottle 8–10 hours in advance
and seal it. Prepare the water in the afternoon, for example, and drink it the next morning.
As soon as you get up in the morning, pour the water from the copper bottle into a copper cup. It is recommended to
drink the water at room temperature. Copper water must not be stored in the refrigerator.

Copper drinking vessels are only suitable for water! Do not use for other liquids, and do not mix the water
with herbs or fruits.

Pure copper: the only right option

It is important to use drinking vessels made of pure copper. Therefore, do not buy copper
drinking vessels that are mixed with other metals. A simple way to distinguish between pure
copper and a counterfeit version mixed with other metals is to compare the hardness. Pure copper
is, after all, a very soft metal. We guarantee the high quality of our copper drinking vessels.

Quality of copper

Copper is a soft metal and is therefore, unlike steel for example, a difficult material to work with. As a result, our copper drinking vessels are handmade rather than produced by machine. Unique products, therefore, because as with any hand-finished item, no two bottles will ever be exactly the same. It is therefore perfectly normal for your bottle to show minor variations and/or imperfections as a result of the hand-finishing process. That is precisely what makes our copper drinking vessels a unique piece of craftsmanship.
