A Rare Forest Blend with Sacred Cacao and Xipão Herb

This powerful Rapé is crafted by the Huni Kuin people of Jordão, using sacred plants harvested deep in the Amazon forest. The blend features the rare and highly valued herb Xipão, combined with ashes from the native Amazonian cacao tree (Theobroma cacao). This medicine comes from the hands of the people of Chief Siã, with whom Sacred Connection has an ongoing relationship built on trust, transparency, and shared purpose.

Xipão – A Rare and Sacred Ingredient

Xipão is a plant that grows as a parasite on palm trees and is extremely difficult to find. Its presence is subtle and fragrant, with a distinctive aroma that sets it apart from other medicinal herbs. Used exclusively by the Huni Kuin in their Rapé preparations, Xipão holds both medicinal and spiritual significance.

Traditionally, it is used to treat flu, fever, and to ease breathing difficulties. It is also known for its calming properties, bringing balance to the nervous system and offering a relaxed, clear state of mind. Within the Indigenous context, it is considered a powerful plant for restoring both the body and the energetic field.

Cacao Ashes – Grounding Force and Distinct Energy

The ashes used in this Rapé come from native cacao trees that grow close to rivers and in moist soil. The cacao used here is not commercial or hybrid — it is wild, regional cacao cultivated and respected by forest communities.

Cacao ash imparts a unique reddish tone to the Rapé and contributes a warm, grounding energy. While cacao is known for supporting cardiovascular health when used internally, in Rapé its role is energetic. It offers a stabilizing presence and helps anchor the effects of other plants used in the blend, such as Xipão.

The result is a snuff that balances softness and strength — it grounds, calms, and opens a subtle connection to the deeper layers of the self and the forest.

A Medicine from Chief Siã and the People of Jordão

This Rapé is prepared by the Huni Kuin community led by Chief Siã, one of the most respected Indigenous leaders in Acre. The recipe comes directly from their forest territory and reflects their long-standing plant knowledge and spiritual tradition.

Our partnership with Chief Siã and his people goes beyond Rapé. We are honored to work with them in sharing not only snuffs but also other traditional forest products such as Dragon’s Blood, sustainably harvested far into the territory. These are medicines rooted in place, people, and purpose — not commodities, but living expressions of ancestral practice.

A Portal to the Forest

This blend is more than just a Rapé — it’s an invitation to the deep forest, a moment of reconnection with something ancient and alive. The aroma of Xipão, the grounding strength of cacao, and the hands of those who prepared it come together in a single dose that transports you into the heart of Amazonian tradition.
